Monica Gate Monica is a Mi’kmaw/Italian actor, producer, educator, and playwright based in amiskwaciwâskahikan. Her work bridges performance, community, and cultural leadership, shaped by years of professional arts administration across Canada. Deeply committed to community-engaged creation, Monica loves workshopping new plays, supporting emerging voices, and creating spaces where people can gather, share stories, and imagine together. Monica currently serves as General Manager of Rising Sun Theatre.
