Miranda Sommerville – President
Miranda Sommerville is a PhD candidate at the University of Lethbridge, under the supervision of Drs. Barrett and Mills, with a concentration in human behaviour and evolution. For her master’s, she traveled to South Africa to study the postural threat displays of male vervet monkeys. She is extending this work through her PhD by using the same observational techniques to understand human behaviour in Canadian art galleries. She has been the president of Punctuate! theatre’s board of directors since they incorporated in 2012. During that time she has also served on other non-profit boards, including Common Ground Arts Society, the Graduate Students’ Association (University of Lethbridg),, CKXU Radio in Lethbridge, and currently with Factory Music and Arts.
Everett Kunitz - Vice President
Everett has served on the Punctuate! board since 2018. After a career on the stage as a dancer, he now works at his family owned business Kunitz Shoes.
Kendra Elizabeth - Director
Kendra Elizabeth is in her second year as a board member with Punctuate Theatre. She toured with Punctuate Theatre as a dancer/ensemble member between 2017 and 2019. Kendra has trained in Sherwood Park, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and New York. She worked professionally as a performer, creator and teacher before becoming a first responder. Select credits include: Lobbyists (Azimuth Theatre), Lay-by (Rubaboo Festival and Nextfest) Bears and Minosis Gathers Hope (Punctuate Theatre/ Alberta Aboriginal Performing Arts).
Brent Thompson - Secretary
Tim Lo - Treasurer
Tim has supported Punctuate! Theatre for many years and officially joined the board in 2018. He is a project management professional with experience in real estate and construction management in the commercial retail and government sectors. Tim is also a theatre hobbyist and regularly alternates onstage and backstage roles from producing, acting, singing, stage managing, directing, and marketing. He’s the silent “lo” in Con-lo-witz Productions (@conwitzproductions). Thank you for supporting live theatre and hope to see you at a Punctuate show soon!
