VIRTUAL INDIGENOUS ARTIST HUB 2022

ABOUT

Punctuate! Theatre in association with Dreamspeakers present THE VIRTUAL INDIGENOUS ARTIST HUB 2022. We are bringing together diverse communities to celebrate and appreciate local Indigenous art virtually.

The Hub will share video profiles about 10 exciting Indigenous artists in our community from multiple disciplines, including drag, fashion design, theatre, culinary arts, visual art, musicians, and more! These videos will share who they are and what motivates them to do what they do and we hope that these conversations inspire you to learn more about Indigenous arts and artists in your community.

The Hub was filmed at the Whiskeyjack Art House in Edmonton, and the Blue Horse Gallery in Smoky Lake, AB and is hosted by local multidisciplinary artist and director Barry Bilinsky, and filmed by celebrated documentary filmmaker and photographer Curtis Cameron.

Two videos will be released weekly, launching the week of July 25 and running to the end of August, and will be accessible for free on the Punctuate! social media, Youtube channel, and website.
