Teneil Whiskeyjack is a Plains Cree Indigenous woman from Saddle Lake First Nation. She is the founder and owner of Spirit Flame Consulting. Spirit Flame stems from an Indigenous Cree lens that is rooted in cultural practices and helps guide other into a creative process of artistic expressions through mediums like movement, performance art, acting, and healing modalities.

Teniel started as an actor at the age of 9 in an animation series Stories from the Seventh Fire. Teneil made her playwright’s debut of her lay titled Ayita, which fuses contemporary dance and theatre for the  10th annual headlining show at Skirtsafire Festival in March 2022.
